My Little Gaby's First Day of School

I just had to share a picture of my little Gaby on her first day of Pre-Kindergarten. She was thrilled to start her "big girl school" and had a great first day. Isn't she adorable? (I can say that since she looks nothing like me!) Big Brother doesn't start for another week and a half...haha

Another Family Frame

I can't even count how many of these frames I've made! This is a customized frame that a customer purchased. I used the "To the Nines" Specialty Designer Paper, and the names were punched out with the Word Window; I fed the paper through to make them smaller than the usual size. I hope she likes it!

Christmas Tags

I've been quite the busy bee stamper lately! One of my favorite stamping friends, Stephanie, came over this weekend to make these adorable tags and box. They are pretty much the same as the photo on page 14 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, but I think our creation is even cuter. :) This will be a fun and pretty quick class. I'm working on an awesome project now, so keep checking back.
Don't forget to sign up for my Mailing List on the right sidebar, or you can become a Follower of my blog. I have some HUGE STAMPIN' NEWS coming up for stampers world-wide!
Sign up here to attend this class at my home...sorry...no mail orders for this one! Class will be Friday night at 7:00 on Sept. 18th.

More Bears!

These bears are addicting! One bear was made with the "To the Nines" Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is thick and textured. The other bear's clothes were made with Melon Mambo and Basic Black, with Chunky Glitter for a little bling. Speaking of bling, do you like the clear Rhinestone Brad earrings on these girls?

Retirement Card

My mom's a retired woman now! :) I'm so happy for her. We had a surprise dinner for her last night; it was a fun, adult-only evening. I made her this card, and used a SAB set (Congrats) since it was a prefect sentiment. I got her the Snuggie as a gift...seemed like a fun and humorous gift that she'll be able to use.

Recipe:
Stamps: Very Thankful, retired SAB set (Congrats)
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White, Orchid Opulence
Ink: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Cottage Wall DSP, Big Shot, Birds & Blooms Sizzlet Die, Modern Label Punch, Orchid Opulence Stampin' Write Marker, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals

Build-A-Bear

These bears are sooo fun! My hubby ordered these for me and I started playing with them already. These little bears haven't made it onto a project, but I was having too much fun dressing them up. Don't you love the pearl earrings from the Pretties Kit?! I made the necklace by using the belt piece and cutting it in half, then I added the tiny flower with the pearl center. The bracelet on the bear was made by trimming down the shirt trim piece. These Build-A-Bear dies are the perfect projects to use those tiny scraps of cardstock/DSP.

Christmas in August

Aren't these fun projects?! After the "Christmas in August" stamping at Convention, I just had to make some Christmas projects. The gift tag has bleach stamped images on the Bermuda Bay cardstock, but it's hard to see; I got better at this technique later. :) The Christmas projects use the adorable "Sweet Season" stamp set. The snowflake image on the card was embossed with the Iridescent Ice powder, and the one on the tag was embossed with Whisper White Craft ink and Clear Embossing Powder.

My Birthday

What a fun birthday it's been! I went with the kids and my older niece to Disneyland and wore my "Happy Birthday" button; I felt a little silly but it was nice to have strangers wish me a happy birthday. :)
I woke up to cute cards (store-bought!) from the kids and my awesome hubby. AND...my gift was the Build-A-Bear dies that are on demonstrator preorder only...I bugged my hubby until he confessed that my friend/downline ordered them for him...love that man! I also treated myself to Starbucks in the morning and In-N-Out for lunch...yikes and I skipped working out today! I got home to find a hand-stamped card from one of my favorite stamping friends, Nicolle. Tonight I have a date night with my hubby too. What a great day! :)

Things I Love...

I'm lagging on my blog postings lately! These are the pages that my Sassy Scrapbooking Club members made last week. I used some of my goodies that I got from Convention, in case you didn't notice. :) This is probably the simplest layout we've ever made. I made the page, then found these funny, old pictures of my daughter. The pictures show things that she really loves: Her brother, hanging out at her favorite restaurant in Newport Beach, being silly and eating! I love the Dotted Lines Jumbo Wheel to add a fun design, but I also thought it would be perfect for journaling, so I masked off the sides of the journaling paper with sticky notes and wheeled onto the paper for perfect journaling lines.
Recipe
Stamps: Things I Love, Circle Circus
Paper: Kraft, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Real Red
Accessories: Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon, Paper Clips, Dimensionals, Punches-1 1/4" & 1 3/4" Circle, Heart to Heart, Modern Label, Wheels- Dotted Lines (Jumbo) & Bella's Border (Standard)

More School Memories Kits

I mailed off another 2 School Memories Book Kits that I wanted to share with you. Earlier, I sent off another kit (using the Cottage Wall Designer Paper) to a woman with a 16 month-old; talk about a planner! :)
The kit pictured on the top was made with the "To the Nines" Speciality Designer Series Paper, which is just beautiful, textured, and very thick. The second kit was made with the Bashful Blue paper.

Convention Pals

It was so nice to see my stampin' pals last week in Salt Lake at the annual Stampin' Up! Convention. I got to see/meet many talented stampers that I've only seen on blogs. I appreciated meeting those that knew me from my blog.

I'm back from Convention!

Aren't the bags from this year's Stampin' Up! Convention just adorable? We also got 4 stamp sets and a Stampin' Around Wheel inside the bag, which were used for our fabulous Make & Take projects. The cute bad badge was given to me by my blogging friend, Patty, and the cute pin flower pin was given by another blogging friend, Rose. Here are just some of the great swaps I received from Convention. I got more after I took pictures, but these are most of them. :) You can be at Convention next year too...all you have to do is sign up. Only another 21 days to sign up with the $85 Starter Kit. Contact me for more details.

Convention Gifts

Here are some gifts I made for some stamping pals that I'll see at Convention. I LOVE the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper, so I used it for all the post-it holder frames. The striped Old Olive ribbon is also very cute. Each of the flower embellishments is a bit different.

Convention Bound!

It's finally here...the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. I can't wait to learn all the great things that are are surely in store for all Stampin' Up! demonstrators. This is my third convention and I think it's going to be an awesome one. They are going to unveil the Digital Scrapbooking that will be available to customers in September.

Here's a quick bag tag that I cranked out with scraps. I really love the Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo together.
