Stampin' Around the Clock

I am having too much fun stamping lately! I sneak into my craft center...not room...and stamp whenever I have a chance...which wasn't a great idea when my daughter decided to sit on her little potty while hanging out with big was a mess and my hubby wasn't too happy. :)

I've committed to having at least one class a month, plus my club meets once a month and I hold monthly meetings with my stamp group and I belong to other groups that have their own meetings.

I'm counting down for Leadership, which is in Jan. in Palm Springs...then a few weeks after that are Anaheim...only 15-20 mins. from my house...yippee!

OK...gotta go stamp and get ready for my Sat. workshop...I'll have to post those projects soon!

Getting Punchy With It!

I've been busy playing with punches! I've been making cards, using various punches to show off all of the great and genius things that you can do with them. Meredith Burnsed has created sooo mnay clever ideas using the SU! punches. She's amazing. I'll be demonstrating punch versatility at an upcoming demonstrator meeting, that brings over 100 stampers in Duarte, CA. I showed off punch uses at my Club Meeting and every attendee bought a punch...I love them and wish I had them all. :) Ok...I'm "getting punchy with it" so I'm off to create!

Going Crazy!

Ok...people used to laugh at me in college because I always had at least 2 jobs...I've been "jobless" for 2 yrs. now, except for being a SU! demonstrator, but now my hubby and I are franchise owners of Club Z! In-home Tutoring for our city. Also, I will be teaching rubberstamping classes beginning in January. It hasn't gotten too crazy yet, but I hope it doesn't...I don't want to be apart from my computer or stamps for too long! The HORROR!!!

Adios Summer!!!

Ahh...the heat in So. Cal. has been awful!!! I'm dreaming of fall and winter. :) I love all of those great holidays that fall within those months, especially since I get to share them with my two little children and family. It's so fun to snuggle up and drink something warm.
Today I'll just soak up the sun with the kiddos in their little blow-up pool and count down the weeks until cooler weather visits us again. :) I hope Sunday will be a little cooler....I'm having my "Wicked & Boo-tiful Stamping" class at my house. Good thing I have AC! :) Stay cool!

Catch Up by Scrapbooking for only 10 Minutes...Really!

Just 10 Minutes A Day
A Scrapbooker’s Guide to “Catching Up”
By Aimee Gandara

Day 1- Pick out pictures that you would like to scrapbook. This can be a set of pictures that commemorate a single day or event, or you may choose to select pictures from various days, years, or events. I know it’s hard to do, but decide on a small amount of pictures, 20 pictures is just too much for a double page layout! Looking at your pictures, and thinking about the theme being scrapbooked, choose 3-5 paper colors that you would like to use. This is even easier if you decide to go with a Simply Scrappin’® Kit, since the color coordination is done for you…plus you get the self-adhesive diecuts as a bonus! Put your materials into a scrapbook keeper or even a plain old box for an easy cleanup that’s portable.

Day2- Look at your paper colors and pictures that you selected on day 1. Decide on 1-3 stamp sets that will go nicely with your pictures. Either sketch a layout design or simply “play” with your pictures to decide on a basic layout. You can get ideas by looking in the Stampin’ Up!® Catalog or website as well.

Day 3- Get to cropping! Cut down your pictures to the size that you’d like. Start stamping on wheeling onto your paper!

Day 4- Add any other last touches or embellishments, like ribbon, hardware or chipboard onto your layout.

Day 5- Add any journaling that you’d like onto your layout. Remember to include dates and other important details. Glue down all pictures and page elements. Viola! Work well done…you completed a whole layout in just 10 minutes a day…keep it up and you’ll catch up on those pages before you know it! Showing off those beautiful pages to others can help to encourage you to keep up your good work…take pride and have fun!

I'm looking forward to Sell-a-bration already! I know it's not until February, but that's an exciting time of the Stampin' Up! world. :) I plan to have a "Super Stamping Saturday" at my house where hostesses can sign up to have a one hour time slot to have a quick party. I will pack in as many parties as possible on the same day. Hostesses can earn so much just by having guests come over for an hour to stamp!

Make it happen!

Often I hear demonstrators or customers say that they simply don't have time to stamp. How much time do we devote to other things, like watching TV or talking on the phone? Make the time to stamp! When we create scrapbook pages, we create lasting memories that will be passed on for countless years. Creating cards and sending them out may make someone smile and feel special. So...CHOOSE how to spend your time and MAKE the time to stamp. It's not that we don't have the time to stamp, it's that we choose to spend our time differently.

Stampin' Up! Convention

I just returned from Session 1 of the Stampin' Up! was AWESOME! I'm so inspired to try out new stamping techniques, events, and countless business ideas. I was heaven...stamping all day and night for almost a week. I can't wait for next year's convention in Utah!
