Card with Texturz Plate

This card was especially fun to make since I used the new Texturz Plates from Stampin' Up! It looks fantastic in person and it's so quick and easy to add the embossing to a project. I used Vanilla brads for the center of the flowers...thanks for this idea, Rose. I snipped off the prongs so they weren't so long. The So Saffron ribbon is from the Ribbon Bundle in the Sale-A-Bration brochure...isn't is pretty? I will demonstrate how to make this card at my workshop tomorrow. I'm sure they'll fall in love with the Big Shot when they see how pretty the cardstock is. Those Texturz Plates are a fantastic deal!

Spotlight on Nicolle

My customer spotlight goes to Nicolle this time! Nicolle was introduced to me by my sister and offered to have a workshop right after I signed up to be a demonstrator, almost 3 years ago. She didn't really know what stamping was. Well, she got hooked mighty quickly! She had a few workshops with me and attended many classes, then decided (with my gentle pushing!) to sign up as a demonstrator herself. She recently dropped due to working full time, having 2 little ones and going to school...what an excuse! haha I don't know where she finds her energy! She's studying to be a nurse. Nicolle is now a member of my Sassy Scrappers Club, so I still get to stamp with her, and I'm sure she'll be my fellow demonstrator some day when her life is a bit less crazy.

My Hostess Made This...

Isn't this cute? This hostess, Betty, is having an in-home workshop in March, so she made her own invitations! She's very excited for her workshop, as am I. She wrote such a beautiful message inside the invitation...click on on to enlarge it. Great job, Betty!

Teacher Valentine Treats

Wow, was See's Candy crowded today! There were only 2 ladies working and people were packed in there...poor gals! I got some of their yummy candy bars to give to my kids' teachers. I used the Candy Lane Desinger Series Paper to cover the bars and for the heart punches.

Pillow Box Valentine Treats

My daughter picked (with my suggestion) Hersey Kisses that have little pink hears on the wrapper. I used the Pillow Box die to put the candy in...I was going to punch little hearts with the Heart to Heart punch, but I liked it better without the punch. I used the retired Hostess Patterns Pack for the paper...then used the little birds from the Love You Much set, punched it out with the large circle punch and added some ribbon. I'm sure Gaby will have so much fun this year...her first time passing out and receiving valentines.

Valentine's Treats

My son choose this candy at the store to pass out to his classmates so I went with the Top Note bag topper to dress it up a bit. This die continues to be my favorite! I used some leftover Purely Pomegranate and used the Love You Much stamp set. This was sooo easy and quick...though the Kindergartners may not enjoy the artwork, I'm sure they'll love their candy.

Technique Club Projects

Here are the 3 projects that my new Technique Club will make this weekend. The lady bug card is very "not me," but I think it's good to change it up a bit and try something that's not your style. I love how the calendar turned out. I didn't plan on making it a standing calendar until I was almost finished...I thought it would look too boring if it just laid on a desk, so I used some scraps of cardboard and folded it before running through the Big Shot with the Top Note die. I wanted it to be sturdy, so I went with the cardboard instead of cardstock, then just added another Top Note piece onto the front. The swirls were made with the Priceless set...love that set. "It's a date" was made on the computer, then punched with the Word Window Punch. The calendar months were made at http://www.redcastle.com/, and are 2 3/4" inches. I CASE'd the Sports card from PattiLynn on SCS, http://www.atouchfromtheheart.typepad.com/ and the ladybug card was CASE'd from abigailadrienne on SCS...thanks, ladies! I'll take credit for the calendar...haha

Birthday Scrapbooking

Yay...I'm actually posting a project! These pages for for my new Scrapbook Club that meets this weekend. We decided on a birthday theme. I haven't done paper tearing in my scrapbooking for a long time...so I thought I would try it out with this page. The circles on the torn edges are from the Pick A Petal set. I used the Party Hearty set for most of the layout...love that set...the cupcakes have glitter on them. The cardstock colors are: Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Pacific Point. I used the See You Around jumbo wheel, with the Kiwi Kiss ink since it was only 5 1/2" of paper to cover. Now I have my son's 3rd birthday scrapping done...he'll be 6 in June! lol Now, I just need to add the journaling about his special day.
