More "old" Scrapbooking

Yay...got 2 more layouts done this weekend...here's one of them. I finally used my Top Note Die (positive & negative pieces) for pictures. This was made with an old Simply Scrappin' Kit...those kits are just too fun and easy to use...just throw down strips and add the self-adhesive die cuts, and you've got a page done!
I also took out all of my 12x12 scrapbook albums today and started putting completed layouts inside. I'm determined to keep scrapbooking this summer to catch up...it would be nice to make my wedding album, especially since I just had my 9 year anniversary! :) I have 6 albums that are pretty much done, but still lots to do. My kids are going to end up with a ton of albums someday.

Old Scrappin'

While I wait for my new catalog goodies, I thought I would use some old stuff...and this Simply Scrappin' Kit is pretty darn old!

I cranked this page out in about 15 minutes...I'm trying to scrapbook as much as I can during the summer so I can be all caught up...or almost caught up. These pictures are from Spring 2008.

Now I need to pull some pictures off the computer and get them printed! :)

Scrappin' With NEW Goodies

This layout was too fun! I used the *new* decor stencil, Brocade Floursih, to add a design onto the 12x12 Kraft. I just layed the stencil down and sponged Chocolate Chip ink onto the stencil...too easy and fun. It would look nice to sponge a couple colors together too...I'll try that later. It was great to use an In Color Stampin' Write Marker for the Razzle Dazzle flower. I inked up the whole stamp with Mellow Moss then went back with the Rich Razzleberry marker to add a contrasting color. I'm having fun using me new "stuff" and I can't wait to put in my big July 1st order with goodies from the new catalog!

Circle Circus

Here's another card I made with my new goodies. I'm so excited to have this set; I've been waiting for a set like this to coordinate with my circle punches. I layered 2 the 1" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches onto the Scallop Circle Punch, which gave great dimension to the card. I also used dimensionals to lift the Modern Label Punch, which has the greeting. I like to snip down the brad prongs with the Craft & Rubber Scissors when the brad lays close to the edge.
Stamps: Circle Circus, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Ink: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede
Accessories: 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches, Dimensionals, Silver Brads

*NEW* Card

Yay...I finally had a few minutes to play with my new stuff. You can tell it was only a few minutes because this card is incredibly simple. I used 2 new stamp sets, Teeny Tiny Wishes & Razzle Dazzle. Isn't the new Modern Label Punch great?! The cardstock colors, besides Whisper White, are new In Colors: Soft Suede & Melon Mambo. I hope to play some more soon...I made my order list for July 1st...yikes...it's large! :)

My Little Graduate

My baby boy graduated Kinder- garten today! The kids were so cute and sang songs about going on to first grade. He got his last report card...all 3 out of 3's. I'm so proud of my little guy. We had a little party/luncheon at our house after and he had a blast playing with his cousins. Congratulations, Gordon! :)

Celebrate Summer

I know it's not feeling like summer in So. Cal., but it's just around the corner. Tomorrow is my baby's Kindergarten graduation. He was singing a song that they've obviously been practicing at school, about Kinder being over, and I had to really fight back the tears! I'm a mess!

Here's a card front that I have had since last year, so I thought it would make a great thank you card for his awesome teacher. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher and we hope that our daughter will be in her class in a couple years. That's Wild Wasabi that you're looking at; I told you I made it a year ago! :) Stamp sets are: Everyday Flexible Phrases (retired), Nursery Necessities, and Priceless. The waves were made with a circle punch.

I'll be wearing the waterproof mascara tomorrow! :)

Last Chance Scrappin'

I'm using some retiring items for this month's Scrapbooking Club...I'll miss the In Colors, but the new ones are really fabu! :) This was probably the simplest layout that I've created for the club, but I love the little popsicle embellishment. That idea came from an adorable card that Patty made over a year ago. It would be cute to have the popsicle open to add some journaling, but I decided to keep it closed. My Anniversary

Today is my 9 year wedding anniversary, and we've been together for over 16 years...and we're still young! :) Here's a picture of us from our Senior year Winter Formal.

We're going out to dinner tonight and I told the kids that I would let them watch some of our wedding video...they're thrilled to hang out with their auntie tonight.

I'm a pretty lucky lady to have such a great husband and best friend. We've been together since our teen years and I hope we'll be together forever, even when we're very gray and wrinkled.

Birthday Album

Well...it's 3 years later, but Gaby's 1st birthday mini album is finally done! The invitation was made right after I became a demonstrator and everything else has been done recently. I used the DSP that I bought back then to do this album and I still love it. I may go back to some pages to add a little more, but I'm glad it's done for the most part. Gaby will be 4 next Tuesday and my son, Gordon is turning 6 on Sunday...my little babies! :)
