I LOVE this card! I totally CASE'd this card from my blogging stampin' friend, Rose Marie, who has a fantastic blog. Check out her card HERE. I didn't have the same paper that she used, so I decided to use a sponge and Whisper White craft ink to create an outdoor feel onto Marina Mist card stock. Also, I used Stampin' Up!'s new Log Cabin Smooch Spritz Spray to create a realistic looking sand base; it looks really great in person. Thanks for this great idea, Rose! :)

Beary Fun Box

Isn't this little box so cute? I got the directions for this box at my upline's meeting. You can see Sandy's adorable snowflake box and wonderful directions on her blog post HERE. I had this little Mrs. Bear Clause laying around, so she was perfect for the box. I made the box without a handle, then added one later with silver brads. It's the perfect size for some homemade goodies. Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Technique Club Projects

Didn't my girls do a great job on their bears? I gave them presorted clothes and they punched their bear out. The 3 bears in the top photo were made my teenagers and everyone looked so cute dressing their little bears! :) We decided that the eyes looked better with something other than white, so only my sample has ghostly white eyes. The sucker holder was a fun and easy project...I got this idea and directions from some one's blog but misplaced the info...sorry...I'll post when I find them.Wednesday, September 2, 2009
Christmas Bear
Here's my first Build-A-Bear to actually make it onto a card! I used some scraps from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit to make this card. Do you like her purse? To make it, just cut out 2 purses in different colors/patterns, then cut out (along perforation) the middle section, and mount onto purse. I'm already in Christmas mode. :)Tuesday, August 25, 2009
More Bears!

These bears are addicting! One bear was made with the "To the Nines" Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is thick and textured. The other bear's clothes were made with Melon Mambo and Basic Black, with Chunky Glitter for a little bling. Speaking of bling, do you like the clear Rhinestone Brad earrings on these girls?Friday, August 21, 2009
My Birthday

What a fun birthday it's been! I went with the kids and my older niece to Disneyland and wore my "Happy Birthday" button; I felt a little silly but it was nice to have strangers wish me a happy birthday. :)I woke up to cute cards (store-bought!) from the kids and my awesome hubby. AND...my gift was the Build-A-Bear dies that are on demonstrator preorder only...I bugged my hubby until he confessed that my friend/downline ordered them for him...love that man! I also treated myself to Starbucks in the morning and In-N-Out for lunch...yikes and I skipped working out today! I got home to find a hand-stamped card from one of my favorite stamping friends, Nicolle. Tonight I have a date night with my hubby too. What a great day! :)
